Waste Water Management practice requires that we address issues on behalf of our clients that include:

- Defense of administrative or civil enforcement actions related to waste water management issued or instituted by state or federal administrative agencies
- Defense of civil actions by state or US departments of justice related to waste water management after referral of administrative enforcement actions by state or federal environmental agencies
Waste Water Management matters in which the firm has or attorneys with the firm have been involved include the following:
- Defense attorney in a threatened civil action by the USEPA on the behalf of a chemical blending company related to alleged discharges of chemicals into a city sewer system.
- Drafted and negotiated a complex compliance schedule with a state regulatory agency intended for inclusion in a state discharge permit for a SBR rubber manufacturing facility
- Prepared opinion related to the continued applicability of a discharge permit by a state commission that had been disbanded 12 years before for a SBR rubber manufacturing facility
- Prepared a Settlement Agreement with the EPA for alleged Clean Water Act violations for a company that supervises private sewage treatment plants
- Prepared a Settlement Agreement with LDEQ for alleged state water discharge violations for a company that supervises private sewage treatment plants
- Prepared a plan for the implementation of Supplemental Environmental Projects in accordance with a Settlement Agreement under the Clean Water Act for a company that supervises private sewage treatment plants
- Prepared an application for state water discharge permits (LPDES) and secured such permits for a solid waste processing facility
- Prepared State Discharge Permit Application and NPDES and calculated water quality-based limits for a styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR rubber) manufacturing facility
- Prepared a flow measurement plan used for compliance with Clean Water Act discharge permits for a company that supervises private sewage treatment plants
- Conducted an audit of Clean Water Act discharge record keeping activities for a company that supervises private sewage treatment plants
- Prepared Reporting, Sampling and Record Keeping Procedures under the Clean Water Act for a company that supervises private sewage treatment plants
- Day to day responsibilities for ensuring compliance with Water Quality at a large styrene and ethylene manufacturing facility and a commercial hazardous waste treatment, disposal and storage facility
- Conducted studies of tidal flow in the Calcasieu River system for the purposes of determining dilution factors and mixing zone flow rates for process discharges
- Conducted utilities discharge and in-process investigations to identify and eliminate excessive levels of certain compounds and parameters in order to comply with the discharge permit limits
- Prepared responses to state and federal enforcement actions in regards to waste water discharges and either implemented or managed the implementation of corrective measures
- Approved and reviewed all phases of process and structural designs, construction and modification activities to assure compliance with water permits and regulations
- Managed and conducted NPDES and state Discharge Monitoring and Reporting at a commercial TSDF and an styrene and ethylene manufacturing facility
