Toxic Torts

Toxic Torts practice requires that we address issues on behalf of our clients that include:

Providing advice to clients regarding the potential for exposure to chemicals personally, contamination of property or both
Facilitating and coordinating the necessary medical testing to evaluate contamination
Facilitating and coordinating the necessary sampling to evaluate contamination
Defense or prosecution of civil actions related to alleged exposure to chemicals contamination of property or both

Toxic Tort matters in which the firm has or attorneys with the firm have been involved include the following:

Plaintiff attorney in a civil action which results from one of the largest oil spills in Louisiana history from an oil refinery.
Plaintiff attorney in a civil action which results from air releases from an oil refinery.
Plaintiff attorney in more than fifty separate civil actions against production and exploration companies for historic oilfield contamination left behind on private properties leading to extensive groundwater and soil contamination.
Plaintiff attorney in a civil action which results from air releases from an EDC cracking furnace tube rupture and a fire at a VCM manufacturing facility.
Plaintiff attorney in a civil action which results from air releases from a valve failure and a large fire at a VCM manufacturing facility.
Plaintiff attorney in a class action on the behalf of a class of plaintiffs where more than 3,000 properties had been trespassed upon and damaged by a 5 mile long plume of contaminated groundwater that contains tetrachloroethylene.
